Helen E. Wells is the Law Office Administrator for the Zumbrun Law Firm. In addition to being the primary contact for the majority of the firm's business relationships, as a member of the management team Helen participates in the firm's decisions regarding financial and operational matters, manpower requirements, marketing objectives, legal issues, employee issues and compensation, facility management, continuing education, goal setting, and the establishment of office policies. She has had the responsibility of relocating the office twice over the past 17 years including site selection, construction build-out, office design and decor, and lease arrangements.

Helen has been responsible for the complete administration of a professional practice, including all aspects of internal accounting for over 24 years, and has been working in accounting, both public and private, for over 30 years. She joined The Zumbrun Law Firm at its inception in 1991. Helen's first day with the firm was June 24, 1991 and her first successful major accomplishment within her first week on the job was to make all necessary arrangements to enable the law practice to open for business on July 1, 1991.

In an effort to stay current within the industry she considers it mandatory to stay actively involved with the Association of Legal Administrators and its invaluable opportunities for continued education. Helen has participated on the local chapter's board in many capacities, but none so rewarding as the years spent serving as president elect and president. Other positions held with the Association include secretary, membership chair, and past-president with assistance to the program and newsletter chairs over the years. She has also participated on the nominating committee both locally and regionally. In 2003 Helen served as the Community Challenge Weekend chairperson for the local chapter which included serving as liaison between Commander Crisologo at the Sacramento Police Academy and the members and friends of the Sacramento Valley Chapter Association of Legal Administrators as they partnered together at the Sacramento Children's Home during the Associations annual volunteer work day effort. In fact, she was recognized by the national Association of Legal Administrators for her efforts in the coordination of this event for having the “most volunteers at a single event” in 2003. No small task considering the local chapter is much smaller than many of the other 101 chapters within the international association.

Helen lives in Elk Grove, California with her husband Rick and daughter Nicole. They are all very active in their local community and Helen currently serves on their church's board.
