Mark Anthony Teh was born and raised in Glendale, California . After high school, Mr. Teh moved to the Napa Valley , where during his junior year at Pacific Union College he chose law as his future career. In 1998, he graduated from Pacific Union College with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Teh then moved to Sacramento , California where he attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Teh served as a Teaching Assistant and sat on the International Advocacy Honors Board. As a Teaching Assistant, Mr. Teh conducted weekly workshops coaching law students with their written and oral advocacy skills as well as serving as a panel judge for their moot court competitions. Mr. Teh also served as a Certified Law Student at McGeorge's Community Legal Services where he obtained hands-on training handling cases ranging from bankruptcies to child custody, estate planning, and landlord-tenant disputes.

During law school, Mr. Teh also served as a law clerk at the Friedberg Law Corporation where he researched complex business litigation and legal malpractice issues. Mr. Teh received a number of scholarships throughout law school, including the Academic Achievement, Albert Zangerle Memorial, Alumni Association, Asian-American Law Student Association, Environmental Improvement, and the International Appellate Advocacy scholarship awards. Mr. Teh received recognition for his advocacy skills as an International Appellate Advocacy Semifinalist and as a recipient of a Certificate for Excellence in Oral Advocacy.

In 2001, Mr. Teh completed his Advocacy Concentration and obtained his Juris Doctor degree with Distinction. After repeatedly being named on the Dean's Honor Roll, Mr. Teh earned the distinction of becoming a member of the Traynor Honor Society.

In December, 2001, Mr. Teh was sworn into the California Bar and joined The Zumbrun Law Firm, where he handles complex civil litigation involving public interest, land use, and private property rights. Mr. Teh's experience includes representation of clients at the trial court level, as well as briefing cases before California 's appellate and Supreme courts. Mr. Teh lives in Sacramento and is an active participant of the community outreach activities of his church.
